Boredom

I don't understand the concept of boredom. I don't think I've ever been bored in my life. When I was in college at BYU, I heard students complain that there's nothing to do in Provo. My ESL students here complain that there's nothing to do in Hammond (the suburb of Chicago where our school is). I just wonder, when these people were at home, before coming to college, what they did for "fun"? I mean, what do you need to be entertained? Every town has movie theaters, bowling alleys, clubs. What are they expecting out of life? No matter where I've lived--Russia, Provo, Chicago--I just live my life. I hang out with friends, cook food, work, study, come home, jog, take walks, and enjoy life. Life is about you--not the neighborhood or the skyline.
