And, the ballet...

I went to the ballet last night. It was three short ones by Anthony Tudor, all pretty good. I am just amazed at these dancers. So much strength and gracefulness.

I was on your blog the day before your birthday, and forgot to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! I was in Rhode Island, and didn't have a lot of computer access, so I should given you birthday greetings while I could! Hope you had a great day! (The ballet looks cool, too!)

I love the ballet. The only time I've ever seen one was in Leningrad (yes, that's what it was called then) and I've never forgotten how amazing it was. It was "Swan Lake." WOW Anyway. :) I'm glad you had fun. And I'd say that's a great way to spend your birthday weekend!

Really?! That's right you did go to Leningrad a long time ago. I'd forgotten. Now, Heids, you really need to see more ballets, because actually, there are some that are better than Swan Lake (in my opinion). Don Quixote, by Minkus, is actually among my favorites of favorites. Giselle is also pretty good. Anyways, I need to see more! It makes me dream of dancing at night. Beautiful visions dancing in my head.

:) Puts a whole new spin on the Night Before Christmas, doesn't it... while visions of sugar plums danced in their heads...
And yes, lol, I'm old enough to not only remember when St. Pete was called Leningrad, but to have actually visited it before the Wall came down and the Iron Curtain was no more.
