A New Year

I turned 27 this past week. It's a good age. Very mature and womanly, yet still young and attractive. I was a bit worried that it would be a disappointment, being alone out here. But the people in my branch were super nice to remember and send me lots of messages. And, at enrichment, they lit a candle on an éclair for me. (We were learning how to make them). I also went to dinner at a cute Italian restaurant with a new friend here in Chicago. So, all in all, I got enough attention. Now, it's just time to pull things together this year.

You look so hip and happenin'! 27 is a good age. So are most ages, actually. Have fun being in your "late" 20s now! I have to giggle, though, as I distinctly recall you and I having a conversation when I was on my way to 27 in which you kindly informed me that you would NEVER be as old as I was and still single! It's really not so old, is it. ;)
