Chicago Botanical Gardens

Yesterday was a really warm day for February. Here are some pictures from my excursion to the Botanical Gardens.

This is called the "Island of Everlasting Happiness." There are no bridges or paths getting to it, so I guess they assume that everlasting happiness is unattainable. I'm glad for the gospel.

I like the statue of the birds, what an awesome angel.

I went there only once (with Mindy!) and it was beautiful ... and summertime. You took some really great pictures that really capture the stark beauty of winter. The last one is my favorite. Though I agree that the angle on the bird picture is fantastic (that's my second-favorite).

And I never knew that that island was "The Island of Everlasting Happiness" ... and unattainable. Very interesting. I'm glad for the gospel, too. :-)

Very nice photography. When I first read the caption for the island, I assumed it was happy because there could be no people on it. Your interpretation probably makes more sense.

Nice pictures Heather! I love botanical gardens. I went to the Palmengarten in Frankfurt, and the Botanical Gardens in Adelaide, Australia. I love plants! Thanks for posting this!
