Chicago Summer Romping

We went on a little exploration one evening, and a beautiful, mysterious mist was clouding over the city. I thought it was wonderful.

Gardening in Chicago is such an easy, glamorous affair here. I didn't know there were so many different kinds of flowers, ferns, and other plants. People take gardening pretty seriously here. I love walking through Chicago's different neighborhoods, admiring everyone's front yards.

And, this is better than living on the coast! We have our own little ocean- Lake Michigan. And 57th Street Beach.

This is me and my good friend Emily.

She doesn't really usually let me take her picture. I don't know why. I think she's cute. Check out those big, gorgeous brown eyes...

Beautiful pictures! I love the mist. And the flowers, of course! :) I didn't know there was a real beach by Lake Michigan, well, in Chicago anyways. I know there is out of the city, we want to go camping sometime at the dunes.

About the straightening, maybe it is just the texture of her hair or something?

Hello! Such fun pictures. I should have taken more when I was at Filey last week... I'll just have to pinch my friend Tasha's pics. :)

Yeah, actually Chicago is absolutely beautiful, Auntie Myrna. Especially in the summer and the winter (I didn't especially like the naked, muddy March/Novemberish sights.)

I love your comments!

By the way, Heather, I just realised what is even better about your beach: no salt water!!! That would be so excellent...
