Here I am, a cute farm girl now in the beautiful windy city of Chicago. Right now I'm teaching ESL at Purdue-Calumet in Hammond, Indiana. I love traveling and seeing new places, but my favorite thing is being with family and friends.

Chilly Chicago Morning
I took these pictures this morning on my way to the post office. Close to my neighborhood is a slightly industrial area with this part of the river running through it.

Hey, it looks like you've at least still got blue skies now and then! :) Are you still running a lot?
Does the river ice over eventually? It looks beautiful, even if the air is nippy. So did you read my question about when I come to Chicago in February?
You know, I kind of LIKE Auntie M--I will have to suggest that to Jenna, who generally has a poor opinion of my name...
Conference is at the Marriott. Music Library Association--you can probably google it to find out details...I just want to figure it out before I register, because I would rather run away with you than go to the banquet, but I need to know...need to register before the end of December to get the lower conference reg. fee.

Yeah Auntie M, sounds like a plan. Do you have a conference here? Where are you going to stay? Downtown? There's lots of fun stuff to do.
Heidi, no I don't go jogging anymore. It's too cold for me. But I like to walk a lot.
Your pictures make the dirty, gritty city look idyllic. I love 'em.
So pretty... that last one is a bit of a contrast hey? The water flanked by factories with smoke stacks a firing!

It seems a bit nippy...do you get ice storms?
